Oh my goodness, it’s Monday! Where does the time go? No, I’m serious. It seems like I just left the office on Friday after noon a few minutes ago. Craziness.
Well I certainly hope your weekend was delightful, if not eventful. Ours was certainly busy. After I escaped the Gray Cube of Doom late Friday evening, The Boy & I headed down to the wedding site for a pre-wedding work party. We helped put in a new fire pit, plant some vegetables, and build a new decorative stone wall. The stone wall impressed me the most as The Boy did it by himself. It was his first time using mortar, and with very little instruction or supervision he managed to make a darn fine wall.
I honestly wish I had more to chat about crafting-wise. I received new feathers this weekend that I hope to turn into some jewelry & more hair flowers. I also went to the craft store to pick up all the pieces I needed to make “Thank you” cards for our wedding gifts, but haven’t actually made them. It’s that whole making time thing again. Hopefully that will occur soon this week as we are already receiving gifts.
Oh! That’s right. I wanted to share with you that I have finally found out what the feathers are! Do you recall those beautiful inky green feathers I fell in love with but couldn’t for the life of me figure out what bird they came from? Roosters! They’re rooster tail feathers. It was my revelation from this weekend that made me very happy.
I hope you have a fun and easy going day.
Cheers!
~Robyn
